Our Story

Strongdor History 2008

2008-2009

Strongdor first started out in a small village in Bretherton. Our first container delivery of new doors in more than 25 variations arrived, starting the journey of becoming the company you see today. With the first year being a success, we installed a new paint line with an overhead tracking system to keep up with the high demand.

2010

To increase capacity and efficiency Strongdor moves to a bigger and better manufacturing facility in Halton, Lancashire.

2013

Strongdor once again outgrows the Halton unit and upscales to a factory based in Carnforth, enabling us to grow the Strongdor team for both office and factory staff. Double paint booths were also installed here to increase capacity and reduce lead times, meaning we could offer the best lead time in the industry.

2018

With staff numbers now over 50, Strongdor invests in a press brake and punch press machine shop facilities to manufacture doorframes in-house, significantly reducing lead times for customers.

The expansion continues with Strongdor relocating operations by taking on another purpose built 42,000 square ft manufacturing facility in Morecambe, Lancashire. Featuring a high tech automation line including a Salvagnini and laser to offer enhanced accuracy, quality and service.

2021

Marks Strongdor’s 12th Year Anniversary, the team continues to grow with over 80 staff and an expanded dedicated R&D Department. Despite the huge growth, Strongdor still continues to offer fast quotes, impeccable customer service and industry beating lead times.
